What the tier means
The Rising Voice is Visibility Index tier 2, composite 6–10 out of 18 (33–55 on the 100-point display scale). It's the most common first-audit tier — roughly half of all initial scores land here.
The pattern is consistent: two strong dimensions, two middle dimensions, two near-zero dimensions. The strong ones are usually Brand Clarity (you know what you do) and Visual Identity (you've taken a decent photo). The middle ones are Digital Footprint (LinkedIn ranks, scattered other mentions) and Network Recognition (a real network, light engagement). The weak ones are almost always Authority Signals and Content Cadence.
It's the "I've started, but the work isn't compounding yet" tier.
What scoring here usually looks like
- Digital Footprint: 1–2 — LinkedIn ranks; one or two earned mentions appear; mostly your company's PR.
- Brand Clarity: 1–2 — Headline names a function; specific positioning still drifts.
- Authority Signals: 0–1 — Maybe one Sifted feature or trade-pub mention; no podcasts, no talks.
- Content Cadence: 0–1 — Sporadic posts. The intent is there, the rhythm isn't.
- Visual Identity: 1–2 — Solid headshot. Banner is generic or templated.
- Network Recognition: 1–2 — Reasonable follower base, light engagement.
Why most people stall here
The Rising Voice is the easiest tier to enter and the hardest to leave, because the moves that got you here (decent photo, defined headline, occasional posts) aren't the moves that take you further. The next phase requires sustained outbound work — consistent posting and outbound press / podcast pitching — and that's exactly what most busy professionals deprioritise.
The median Rising Voice profile sits in the tier for years. The ones who escape made one decision: "this is the quarter I commit to weekly posting and one outbound pitch per month." Six months later they're scoring as Emerging Authority.
The path to Emerging Authority
